The Autumn Royal Raisin is derived from the Autumn Royal variety of grape. The variety
was developed in Fresno, California, and introduced to commercial vineyards in 1996. Autumn Royal grapes have large, dark purple to black berries that ripen from late September to mid-October. Autumn Royals are highly sought after, in part due to their large fruit size and late maturity.
